The Pioneer in CPVC Technology

Piping Systems

FlowGuard® Pipe and Fittings is one of the safest, most reliable and cost-effective plumbing solutions on the market. Billions of meters of FlowGuard CPVC have been installed in residential and commercial buildings around the globe.

In 1959, the Lubrizol Corporation—FlowGuard Pipe and Fittings’ parent company—pioneered chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) for use in piping systems. The first plumbing was installed in 1960, and many of our early systems are still in service today.

In addition to quality pipe, we also offer the industry’s largest network of technical support specialists. Our team provides the necessary education and advice to help residential and commercial users get the most value from their system.

Wherever potable water must be delivered, FlowGuard CPVC is the safe, reliable, cost-effective choice.

    What Is CPVC?

CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) is a strong, durable plastic material that has been successfully used in plumbing applications around the world for more than 50 years.

Key advantages users recognize with FlowGuard CPVC include:

    • Superior water quality
    • Excellent chlorine and biofilm resistance
    • Fire resistance
    • Easy, cost-effective and safe installation

CPVC’s inherent chemical resistance, reliability and ability to stand up to high heat and pressure make it an ideal material for residential, commercial and even industrial piping systems.
